Not filling a functional slot. The roulette sector dial is inspired by 1930s/1940s Patek Philippe Calatrava ref. 96 dials, reinterpreted with a graphic, almost casino-like compartment design. Ordered 2026-08-15. Arriving week of 2026-08-18. ## Why I Chose It - The dial. That's it. The blue roulette sector pattern is stunning — geometric, vintage, and modern simultaneously. - 36mm is the smallest watch in my collection — a different wearing experience - Micro-rotor movement allows the slim 9.9mm profile while staying automatic - ~$500–$600 — low enough commitment that it's an easy "just because I love it" purchase - Visible micro-rotor through the caseback is a nice bonus - Baltic is one of the best design-literate [[Baltic|microbrands]] — French, vintage-inspired, excellent proportions ## The Dial The "roulette" name comes from the dial's resemblance to a casino roulette wheel — alternating segments in different finishes, more compartments and numerals than a standard sector dial. The concept traces back to rare 1930s–40s Patek Philippe and Breguet dress watches that used this graphic treatment.
